[Q] Will
my pet's medications be maintained?
[A] Absolutely! Please provide
written instructions.
[Q] Should I bring my pet's
food?
[A] Please bring your pet's
regular food to avoid any dietary discomfort during their stay.
You may also purchase food from our line of
Eagle Pack, Acana, Orijen or House food can also be provided an
additional charge.
[Q] Can
I bring toys and bedding?
[A] Certainly! You may bring
any items you feel will make your pet's stay more comfortable. All
items must be washable and
nothing fragile. Please do
not bring bowls or carpets. All items should be labelled.
[Q] How much exercise will
my pet have?
[A] Please see our schedule
in the services section. There is approximately
one acre of fenced exercise area for the dogs to enjoy. Cats
have a large activity room in which they are let out to play
with access to a secured window.
[Q] Can my dog socialize
with other dogs while at the kennel?
[A] That is at your discretion
with written instructions. Prairie Rose Boarding Kennels assumes
no responsibility for injury, loss or damage
sustained. We will at all times exercise due diligence, care, and
caution.
[Q] Will you feed a “raw” diet?
[A] Yes. We have a freezer and refrigerator on site and will
feed your pet as per your instructions.
[Q] How high is the fence?
[A] The fence is securely mounted and 7 feet high with an
additional 2 foot overhang for extra security. The perimeter is
reinforced with concrete to
prevent the possibility of tunneling out.
[Q] What vaccines does my pet require?
[A] All dogs are required to have their DHPP and rabies. Bordatella
is optional. Cats require Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR),
Calicivirus (FCV), Panleukopenia
(FPL) and rabies. Please bring a copy of your pet's current vaccination
certificate from your veterinarian.
**Please Note** Check with your vet regarding timeframe recommended
between vaccination and boarding.
[Q] Are grooming services available?
[A] Yes. Caroline Harris brings over 20 years of grooming
experience and provides a full range of services for your pet by
appointment.
[Q] Do I need
to bring my pet's dishes?
[A] No. We provide stainless steel dishes
during their stay.
